Day 2: From Southern GA to North GA
Day 2 began at 9am sharp, and we gathered our things in the camper and packed up. We munched on some Chick-Fil-A minis, and headed out. Of course I got their iced coffee. We headed out and were on the road to North GA.
Today was jam packed with adventure. We drove for several hours while I watched Star Trek: Enterprise, an underrated show from 2001. I enjoyed the journey, and got plenty of video. Oh, did I mention, I am going to make a video compilation of the roads, scenery, things we do, etc? I tried my Chinese video camera but it had some issues, luckily I brought the GoPro. The video is actually better on the GoPro anyways, I just preferred the audio quality of the Chinese camera, ironically that was the thing that wasn’t working.
We stopped at a Buccee’s for gas and to meet my dad’s friend and colleague. Him and his wife were delighted to see us, and I took a polaroid of the two of them and gave it to him for a keepsake. Then we grabbed a bite to eat – the pulled pork sandwiches at Buccee’s are delicious. I also grabbed a modelo.
We drove through the mountains and finally reached Lookout Mountain, Chattanooga West, in Trenton, GA, right near the border with Tennesee.
We ate chicken alfredo and then watched a movie. I played Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door on Switch, and beat Chapter 2. Then I drank my modelo and we played Scrabble, but not before getting to see lightning bugs outside. This post had to be shorter because I’m on a time crunch – we have to get up at 6am tomorrow. Expect a kickass video at the end of the trip!
See you, Space Cowboy
Love this Tyler! I feel like I am there 🙂 wish I was.
