Day 16: To the Land of Flowers
Every rodeo must come to an end.
When the dust settles, we have heads full of new memory.
I am grateful for the experiences I’ve had, the lessons I’ve learned, and sharing my time with you all.
In my time on this sixteen day trip of 5,150 miles, I got to experience thirteen different states. I got to feel the sun of Florida as per usual, smell the sweet scent of flowers in Georgia, and climb in a truck the rugged mountains of Tennessee. I got to eat good food everywhere we went. I passed through Kentucky into Missouri, discovering a foreign state that I knew little about, and we passed into South Dakota, a beautiful hilly state with great hospitality. We visited Wyoming, which captured my heart, and I felt as if I could return in a heartbeat. The glee I felt in Yellowstone was epic. We then continued our adventure into Colorado, where I had a good burger near Denver, and got some nice pictures. We then went through Kansas, to stay in Lawrence, Kansas, with beautiful wheat and corn fields. I got to pass into Oklahoma/Nebraska briefly, and eventually returning to Missouri and Kentucky. From there I got to trek home through the deep south. I found my purpose out in America. My purpose is to see new things, meet new people, have new experiences. And that can’t happen tied down to one mid-sized town. I ought to make some moves starting now. On Monday I start back at UF, and now I feel more dedicated than ever to pushing forward. The beauty of the lands that are in America has stirred my heart, I feel the call of the expedient – travel is the remedy. But I much prefer travel on the ground, so I’ll have to figure out how to make it all work. Stay tuned, this blog could turn into a blog about RV life… I’m still toying with the idea but I feel fairly certain that I would love living in a camper. The more simple life – less possessions, less space. More travel, more adventures, and still having a solid house. That sounds like the ideal life to me.
As always, thanks for following this trip. Zoadra signing off.
See you, Space Cowboy…
